FLAVOR TEXT
You enter the small shop-tent, covered in red drapes and carpet, the heat and desert sand naught but a faint memory licking at your heels. You experience a strange sensation that is at once sharp, weighty, and uncomfortably overpowering—a peculiar sense of magic that is both flowing and still.
While your eyes adjust to the dim lighting, you note how impossibly large the interior of the tent is compared to its meager exterior. The shop is cluttered with glistening jewels and golden ornaments, odd trinkets, and boxes with foreign patterns that captivate and intrigue, beckoning to you and luring you deeper in. It's as you stagger a few more steps towards some of those entrancing wares that you notice a pair of golden eyes set upon you, seemingly glowing from the shadows their owner steps forth from.
"Welcome," says the voice, though it doesn't sound like it is coming from the speaker's mouth; rather, it seems to be echoing from all around you. A regal, handsome man with long, dark red hair framing his sharp features comes into view. His face clean and skin smooth, lips soft and manner refined, you can't help but think of him as deserving of the term 'beautiful'. Yet, in spite of his warm and magnanimous demeanor, his eyes are predatory and wolf-like, barely concealing an unfathomable amount of power.
"I am Nabooru", he continues, and you realize that you had inadvertently approached the counter he is standing behind. "...And this is my shop." The proprietor, Nabooru, takes a moment to thoughtfully appraise you, his hands moving over a glass jar with numerous shimmering, golden spheres floating inside of it, bobbing about like fat, lazy fireflies with no where to go. He pushes it aside, concealing it behind a stack of folded, silken linens. "I see you're not from this world," he murmurs, a tension immediately releasing from his shoulders.
"Very well, look around as you please. Just be careful that you do not become lost..."
-- Welcome, adventurer. You now stand within Nabooru's magic shop, which is stocked with divine trinkets and rare oddities, cursed objects, and luck-enhancing talismans. The laws of the world don't seem to apply here, and you get the impression that it would be wise to watch where you step. --
